Founded in 2002, Mai Aisha Trust emerged from a simple yet powerful vision: to empower rural communities across Malawi through sustainable development. What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into a comprehensive force for positive change, touching thousands of lives across education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic empowerment.
Our journey started in the villages of Malawi, where we witnessed firsthand the challenges facing rural communities—limited access to education, inadequate healthcare facilities, and few opportunities for economic advancement. Rather than imposing external solutions, we committed to a different path: listening to communities, understanding their unique needs, and co-creating solutions that would endure.
